Brett Favre traded to division rival

The Buffalo Pitbulls and Glenside Gunslingers have agreed on the following deal:

Future HOFer Brett Favre is being sent to the Gunslingers in exchange for the Pitbulls right to swap 5th round picks with the Gunslingers in 2006.

Since the Pitbulls 2006 5th rd pick is already restricted by a similar option with the Grief, the Pitbulls will be using the Snow Goons 5th rd pick which they obtained in a previous deal.

Thus, the Pitbulls have the option to use either the Gunslingers or Snow Goons 5th rd pick in 2006, while the Gunslingers get Favre and whichever pick the Pitbulls decide not to use.

Favre is assigned a 1 year contract.

The Gunslingers happily welcome Brett to the fold and hope he will pave the way for a smooth transition to Aaron Rodgers.

I know I could have waited and let Mike sweat out having 22 quarterbacks (or whatever the number got up to) but Farve is a player that I like and have never had on any of my teams and the price (could be nothing) seemed fair since his salary was not too exhoribant based on the some of the other numbers out there.

Why? Did you think anyone would have the opinion that you got raked over the coals? This has got to be Mike's first trade where that wasn't readily apparent.
