Default Pre-Free Angency Analysis: QBs and RBs

Kinda bored and the board is dead.

With FA around the corner thought this would be an interesting topic.

QB
1. Drew Bledsoe ($700-$1000)
2. Mark Brunell ($500-$900)
3. Who cares.
4. Who cares.
5. Who cares.

Bledsoe could go to:
Undead (QBs: Farve, Cap Space: $5685)
Devil Hounds (QBs: Warner, CS: $4632)
Wonder Mutts (QBs: Brady, CS: $4743)
Waste (QBs: Collins, CS: $5346)

Brunell could go to:
Any of the above
Squirrel Chasers (QBs: Griese, McMahon, CS: $1558)
Ragers (QBs: Vick, Brees, CS: $937)
Dodgers (QBs: Gannon, Penninton, CS: $2944)
Wyrvens (QBs: Manning, CS: $2613)

A really weak pool here. Besides Bledoe and Brunell all other QBs suck or are currently in battle for the starting spot. So they won't be picked up until later once all is settled. However if someone has the guts they could nab one of them for a very cheap price.

RBs
1. Eddie George ($1700-$2100)
2. Stephan Davis($1600-$2000)
3. Emmit Smith($1700-$1900)
4. James Stewart($1000-$1600)
5. James Allen($850-$1200)
6. Duce Staley($900-$1400)
7. Lamar Smith($600-$900)
8. Tyrone Wheatley($600-800)
9. Tony Richardson($300-$500)
10. Who cares

Not going to list where I think each one will go but here are teams who will be looking at my top 6:
UndeadRBs: Bettis, Priest, Smith, CS: $5685)
FreedomRBs: Green, McAlister CS: $4558)
Wyverns: (RBs: Fuamatu-Ma'afala, CS:$2613)
Hounds: (RBs: Barber, CS: $4632)
Waste: (RBs: Bucklhalter, CS: $5364)
Mutts: (RBs:M.Faulk, Canidate, Gary, Anderson ,CS:$4743)
Insects: (RBs: Williams, Jones, Gay, CS: $2673)

A pretty deep pool here. I think there will be high competition for RBs as a couple of teams are in need of two quality RBs(Toxic Waste, Wyverns). So this should make for great bidding.

Just a note, I didn't factor in the rookies for this as I don't know who'll be placed on dev squad and such but I don't think it would change the picture a whole lot. Not too many rookies are instant producers so the more proven FA maybe the way to go.

When Time Permits I'll do the other positions! Bet you guys can't wait to see where I think the PKs and DEFs are going!

Interesting Analysis Frank, I see you left out a few "key" sleepers !

I think you've got Emmitt way ovrpriced. He won't get past 1100 IMO.

Barring more trades, I'll be pretty much watching from the sidelines for this, although I do see a few prospects I'll take a run at.

Thursday boys, just 3 more days till the off-season kicks into full gear.

Also, as a side note, since activity is SOOOO dead on the weekends, I think we should go from a 48 hour to 72 hour clock for Friday and Saturday bids.

What do you guys think?

What sleepers are you talking about Mike? C'mon, you might as well share........

About the weekend clock, I would be inclined to agree. I very rarely check in on weekends since I'm not at my computer much. I'm not sure about the rest of you though, but I would be in favor of extending weekend times.

I am fine with increasing the time limit. I am not sure why the Freedom got tagged with a frown in the RB overview. Is that cause I should be sad to have McAllister and Green and so much money or because you are sad that I have McAllister, Green and so much money.

I kind of like those two if they can stay healthy. As for the overall prices, I am not sure there is enough money out there right now to support these kinds of bids. I don't have the numbers in front of me but some of those numbers seem a bit high. Not that the players are not worth it but I am not sure the money is there to support those kinds of bids.
