After Monday's scary incident involving Damar Hamlin and with games proceeding as scheduled for week 18, we should probably decide on how to handle players in week 17's Bills vs Bengals game, if possible with MFL. If the game is rescheduled, we should continue as normal, but here are a few thoughts if the game is cancelled:
1. Rely on MFL. Go with the route that MFL decides. 2. Leave as-is. Points stand as-is. 3. Week 18 points. Use week 18 points for Bills and Bengals players to determine final score. 4. Season average. Use season average for Bills and Bengals players to determine final score. 5. MFL projected points. Use MFL's projected points for Bills and Bengals players to determine final score. 6. Spit championship. If season average or MFL projected points puts difference within 10 points, split the title. Any other thoughts? Last edited by Liquid Swords; January 5th, 2023 at 08:59 AM. |

I like option 6, or perhaps an option to submit lineups for week 18 and combine the totals in addition with either season average or MFL projected for Bills/Bengals players for week 17?

I would vote on going with whatever MFL decides to do.
I imagine NFL is either going to have the game finish the game, or completely replay it before playoffs start

Everything I'm hearing around here is the the NFL is more likely NOT to play the game.

Lots of great options, Pat... thanks for posting this. Let's see how things play out with the NFL first.

I think the issue is that we may not know what the NFL does with the Bills vs Bengals game until after week 18. I've heard what Mike said too which is why I think we need to determine something by Saturday afternoon.

Good point. Then I'd probably go with option 6, then, as well.

Yep, 6 makes sense to me too.

The game for #1 pick, looks like we can call it a Ramsters win with a 50 points lead?

Personally, I lean toward option 3 but only slightly. If the game is never replayed, we would use the points scored by the Bills and Bengals players in week 18. If the game is resumed or replayed, then we would use those points of course. Both teams have something to play for this week too.

Maybe we let the two teams involved decide?

MFL removed their projected points for week 17, so that eliminates #5 and makes #6 based on season average

I'm fine with option 6, but then I was on the short side going into the game and needed a big game from Allen, which he was perfectly capable of, especially under the bright lights of Prime Time, and has done 3 other times this past season.
I'd say the Split title idea depends on Rick in Frenzy, he had the lead and the odds were on his side. If I were in his shoes, these days I'd 100% back the split title idea. A decade ago when I was ridiculously competitive, I probably wouldn't have. I'm concerned about relying on week 18 as there is a real possibility the Bills might sit Allen if KC wins on Saturday and they have little to play for on Sunday. Curious to see if the idea Hasselbeck put out there gains traction where Cincy and the Bills are given a tie (which clinches the division for the Bengals and gives them nothing to play for on Sunday), and the team that wins the 1 seed based on winning percentage gets the choice of the bye or home field advantage throughout the playoffs, and whomever is seeded 2 gets the leftovers. That may be the most fair option being thrown out there. Last edited by Preds; January 5th, 2023 at 06:40 PM. |

Good point. That puts me more on split side then. If you go on avg pts both Frenzy and SACD are within 10pts. Both games would have been very close.

This... but if the NFL doesn't sort it out, I would be ok with a title split... Roosters name on top ![]() ![]()

The NFL officially announced the game will be declared a no-contest and won't be replayed. Bills and Bengals will only play a 16 game season and the AFC Championship may be held at a neutral site depending on who wins or loses this week.

Who should I send the trophy to? What should we put on the plate or should we have two made - one for each team?
Previous plate example: 2021 FRENZY BOWL XXI CHAMPION LIQUID SWORDS COACH & GM PATRICK MULLINS 13-3 SWORDS OVER 12-4 PREDATORS SCORE 120.1 TO 113.75 |

I didn't know there was a trophy. Now I will have to try harder. Need to get the Pirates on the trophy :-)
