MFL Policy if NFL Cancels 2011 Season
I asked MFL what would happen if 2011 NFL Season is cancelled - here is their response:
How is MyFantasyLeague.com handling the possibility of an NFL strike or lockout in 2011? We're hopeful that the NFL and the NFLPA will resolve their differences before the start of the 2011 season, and it will be business as usual for the NFL, us, and our customers. But, we understand that there is some uncertainty about the 2011 NFL season, so hopefully this will address some common questions. In general terms, we're encouraging all customers to upgrade their 2010 league to a 2011 league and purchase it as they normally would. You're still free to make any off-season moves, message board posts, drafts, or anything else you would have normally done with the site. In the event there is a lockout or a strike that results in the season being canceled, your payment in 2011 will be applied to your league in 2012. In the meantime, you would still have full access to your league all year round to conduct transactions and use the league message board and any other league functions as needed. Alternately, you could request a refund if you don't anticipate using the league in 2012 in the event of a strike or lockout this season.

Re: MFL Policy if NFL Cancels 2011 Season
This makes sense. How are we going to handle things if there is no 2011 season? We will have our regular draft and then everything goes on hold? Would contracts freeze? Would we allow owners to make cuts (ie an older player that you would not want in 2012 whose contract would have expired after 2011)?

I would suggest waiting until we have something definitive...then we can discuss what we want to do...at least that will give us something to do during the season...

Once we pay the fee, we can transfer. Between Burt & I... we should be able to get it done.

Re: MFL Policy if NFL Cancels 2011 Season
I pay for 4 leagues at once..just waiting for reply for MFL so I can make one payment...but I don't think the league needs to be paid for before transferring rosters.
I can help you out Jim, but it will be a while...I am responsible for doing everything in SAC'd, and it is very time consuming. I have all the steps saved off to guide us through.

Burt (and Jim and Patrick),
Do you want me to post the 2011 Rookie Bonuses? I have figured them out in both Frenzy and SACD to help me figure out RFA bids... 1 question. In SACD, once a rookie contract has been renegotiated it is inelgible for rookie bonuses, right?

Re: MFL Policy if NFL Cancels 2011 Season
Hey John...I have no objections to you determining rookie bonuses in SAC'd..I believe Matt has usually done this, so maybe check if he has done it already..I am sure he won't mind you putting it out (Philadelphia Freedom)
In SAC'd, any rookie that has been renegotiated is still eligible for bonuses through their entire original contract. Since most contracts are renegg'd prior to their final year, they will technically still get rookie bonuses in their first year of new contract, and then bonuses end. Bonuses are added in AFTER salaries have been bumped 10% for the new year. If they have not maxed out according to the rule based on their position and slot drafted, then add in the bonus, up to max.

Also, Jim, before moving rosters over to 2011 site, make sure all moves against 2010 rosters have been completed...makes it much easier....not sure if all moves have been completed..Dale?
