Re: RB Justin Fargas OAK - Sold for 1800cb to Clowns - Match pending by 36 Chambers
Great price for a potential starting RB.
I personally don't think the Raiders will draft McFadden (or maybe that's just wishful thinking), I think Al will opt for Dorsey, Son of Howie, or another atheletic freak but in an area of need (Gholston). As I said earlier if I didn't have a bajillion RBs, the 1.2 pick, and if I didn't land Jamal Lewis, I would've made a harder play for Fargas. The only question is his durability and the role Micheal Bush (supposedly a Kiffin favorite) will play in stealing carries from Fargas. Suprised Ben didn't go after Fargas if he wanted an RB in the sub 2k range.

Re: RB Justin Fargas OAK - Sold for 1800cb to Clowns - Match pending by 36 Chambers
Well I can't blame Swords for matching at this price, but like TJ, this was an insurance bid. I agree with Peter King's take on the Raiders 1st pick:
"I don't feel confident predicting anything they'd do, except I don't think they'll pick Darren McFadden, because they think Michael Bush will come back strong from his 2006 broken leg and be an every-down back, potentially this year." The good news for Swords is that the Jets, not the Raiders, will probably end up with McFadden. The bad news is that it sounds like Kiffen is going to give Bush every chance to steal the starting job from Fargas. |

Re: RB Justin Fargas OAK - Sold for 1800cb to Clowns - MATCHED by 36 Chambers
FYI - Peter King is a moron and there is no way Michael Bush will ever be an 'every down' back. You all are on crack. Not saying Fargas is going to light the world on fire again, I doubt it just because that particular cosmic confluence of opportunity that he fell into last year probably won't happen again.. but you all keep believing the fluff stuff! It is just going to make it easier for me!
