Nevermind, I read results incorrectly. On August 21st TJ Watt was still listed as DE.

I don't think we should run this 5 weeks into the season..
Should have had the final run before game 1. Rosters should be set.

There have been no new changes made into the season, only the last week before pre-seaon ended... It was voted on and is only fair to run it one last time. We can't just vote on a rule and then not fully implement it.


The player on my team is Baron Browning, DEN and MFL lists him as a LB, but his true position is DE. If no other teams have players that need adjusted, as long as Browning is fixed on MFL, I am cool without "running" it again.

Looks like that tool no longer exists; however, it appears that MFL uses the positions that FantasySharks.com uses. Here's a recent message on their site: https://www.fantasysharks.com/fantas...-changes-2023/

Looks like they now take care of true position.

This really isn’t that complicated or earth-shattering. No new positions are being added. All that is being changed is how players are classified.

All 4-3 defensive ends and 3-4 outside linebackers will now be classified as “DE.” If it makes you feel better to call them “defensive edge,” then have at it.
All 3-4 defensive linemen and 4-3 defensive tackles will be classified as “DT.”

That’s it. That’s the change. Some in the IDP community have given this a name — “True Position” and it’s simply a reaction to the evolution of NFL defenses, just as we have seen fantasy football evolve on offense through the years.

So since Mike is no longer with the league, and Pat said this method no longer exists, we are just going with what MFL says the position of a player is.
Cajuns had a question regarding Chop Robinson, so I asked MFL about his designation as a DL - this is what they responded with:
"We won't be making any more player position changes in the system, so the players will remain at their current positions. You can use the League > Setup > Players And Rosters > Change Player Position to change a player's position if your league feels there are some that should be changed. We're using the "True Positoin" concept for player position designations, which is why Robinson is a DE in our system."

So seems like they are using True Position anyways, so seems correct to just use MFL, and not try to manually adjust anything, which I really was not looking forward to adding to the commish duties?

Correct. That's what we did last year when MFL started using True Position naturally. Nothing for commish to do as MFL handles it for us as of last season.
