Well... the 24 hour window has passed on the DERBY CARS. I PM'd them last night to let them know they were on the clock, but no response. I'm going to declare this 2009 Frenzy rookie draft officially done. If the Derby Cars check in during the next day or two, I have no problem with them making their 4.12 pick. Otherwise, if the weekend comes and goes, we'll consider that pick forfeited.

Thanks everyone for doing a great job in keeping the flow of the draft going.

Next up, UFA signing period. We'll post specifics on when that starts.

I will fill in the rest of the rooks and then work on updating the app ... I will email it to Jim and have him forward it to you. One thing to think about is the rule of rookies not staying on your TS or PS (I'm pretty sure that's right) for more than three years. So if you have anyone drafted in 2006 they will have to come off your TS or PS and be promoted to your roster or dropped. If they had been previously activated, there will be a cap penalty.

I will try to do that in the next few days.

The taxi squad rule is:

Each team will be allowed a 5 player Taxi Squad for players with 0-3 years of NFL experience (Players entering their 4th NFL season are NOT eligible for the Taxi Squad ).

It doesn't say anything about Practice Squad players... so I don't know if we get to keep them there until they run out, or if the same rule applies.

SO... any TS player who's entering their 4th year either needs to be made active or cut at the declaration time (August deadline).

Yes Jim is correct.

TS can only be year 0-3.
PS can stay on the PS as long as you don't activate them before their contract runs outs.

Right Jim...that is the way we do it in SAC'd for PS also...since you can only put 1 on PS per year, that kind of weeds out the old ones....

Jim sent the spreadsheet out...I can start to go through it today if Jim can't get to it....I just made all the TS/PS demotions...there were some missing, I can go through that later...just don't want to step on Jim's toe, and with my SAC'd commish duties, don't want to carry this forward, but I have some time today while the wife is out getting fabric to make our granddaughter a quilt and buying her anniversary gift from me....
