2021 Season Rules changes discussions??

I like the RFA period, mainly because it gets us engaged in football a month earlier. But this proposal sounds interesting.
I could easily be convinced on this rule, but agree that it would be best to start up next season. I've already laid out my plan for this season's RFA bidding...

Actually, I misread this. I understood that this would replace RFA. But it's an addition, not replacement.
With this being an addition, I could get behind this idea.
I just wasn't sure about losing the RFA period. I like the additinal draft picks you can acquire...

Yep. This would be in addition to RFA.

But be forewarned... it pisses off your player when they get franchise tagged!

Honestly, seems to be used mostly with IDP's and occasionally RB's. Personally, I think in the 15 years I 've been in SAC'd, I've only used it a handful of times.

I would probably vote for it, but not really that excited about it either way.

We usually have a couple players a year that are franchised in SACD. I've found it useful when a player is a late bloomer, suffered through early injury, etc. With the new TS/PS contract rules, I could see this being useful especially when you need to bring someone up but maybe can't sign to 5 years due to cap. You could get that extra year...just at an inflated price. I should have thought of this last year...I would have franchised one of my RFAs for sure.
