Rule 12E Needs updated...

I would suggest....

#1 Divisional Winner - 1 Seed
#2 Divisional Winner - 2 Seed
#3 Divisional Winner - 3 Seed
#1 Wild Card Team - 4 Seed
#2 Wild Card Team - 5 Seed
#3 Wild Card Team - 6 Seed

First Round: 3 Seed will play the 6 Seed and 4 Seed will play the 5 Seed

Second Round: 1 Seed will play Winner of game between 3/6 Seed
2 Seed will play Winner of game between 4/5 Seed

Championship: Winners of Second Round games will meet each other for the League Championship.

I was just checking in early on how Cards fare in the playoff race...looks slightly promising with wins vs Philly, Bad Dog, Bees, and Liquid.....NOT so good vs Pred and the split with Rooster....plus that divisional sting from Scorps.....the #6 seed may still be within reach also....

Still way too early for counting chickens (pun intended)....but we are encouraged....

Guess I am not seeing where the changes are above? The seeding is in a different section above 12E. The rest is pretty much the same.

12E does not even mention a 2 second round of games or who would play in them against each other....You are right Burt, 12B does the seeding so remove that part....

12E is that way because originally only 4 teams made the playoffs, until at some point years ago teams voted in the everyone gets a trophy millennial rule with 50% of the teams making the playoffs. That added the extra round of games but follows typical highest vs lowest seeding.

Sorry, I guess I was looking at the updated version on my laptop. I've sent an updated version of the rule book to Patrick, Mike and Jim several months ago...I am not smart enough to know how to upload it here. Just waiting on one of them to do so...I think its been reviewed and updated enough.

In the updated version, this is how section 12E reads:
First Round: The #3 seed will host #6 seed. #4 seed will host #5 seed. Seed #1 and #2 will get a bye.

Second Round: #1 seed hosts lowest seed winner from round 1 games. #2 seed hosts highest seed winner from round 1 games.

Championship: The winners of the first round games will meet each other for the League Championship.

Crap...I see the last paragraph is wrong...should read 'The winners of the SECOND round games.....'

I brought the doc up in my HTML editor, but formatting is way off....I upgraded to Office 2013, and thinking that is causing the issue. So will have to figure out that now...
