I have a question on the playoff bracket shown on the MFL homepage. It shows that the winner of the #3 vs #6 game plays the #1 team, and the winner of the #4 vs #5 game plays the #2 team. Is that backwards? Shouldn't the top seed play the lower seed?
Or do we re-seed after the first round so the top seed will play the low seed regardless of the bracket? |

Sorry, missed this post. I guess that would make more sense - assuming #3 seed beats #6 seed. I will have to see if I can re-seed 2nd round.

Does everyone else agree, if #3 seed beats #6 seed, I should adjust the 2nd round to be #1 vs winner of #4 vs #5? I think this setup was the default, but it looks like I should be able to change the second round matchup.

Here's how the NFL handles the playoffs:
"The first round of the playoffs is dubbed the Wild Card Playoffs (or Wild Card Weekend). In this round, the third-seeded division winner hosts the sixth seed wild card, and the fourth seed hosts the fifth. The 1 and 2 seeds from each conference receive a bye in the first round, which entitles these teams to automatic advancement to the second round, the Divisional Playoffs, where they face the Wild Card Weekend survivors. Unlike the NBA, the NFL does not use predetermined brackets. In the second round of the playoffs, the top seed always hosts the lowest surviving seed, while the other two teams pair off." |

I think that the first seed should get the lowest remaining seed (like the Swords post details).
