Not so much a .. It's a good pick at this point in the draft. This guy is LIGHTNING quick and should fit into the Colts rotation nicely .. The only 'gotchya' might be if they list him as LB instead of DE ..

How about Mike Wallace in both Frenzy (4.02) and SACD (6.10) in last year's draft? Decent rookie season and hopefully an even better sophomore season.

No darts thrown on that pick. He was a target in both leagues and I knew I'd be able to snag him with my last pick in each league. I didn't foresee him making an impact this quick however, but I knew he had a shot in a couple years if given the opportunity.

Your math is bad.. as is your assumption that every pick in the top 3 rounds is a 'hit' rather than expensive 'miss'. The example and point is that as many or more 1st round picks completely flame out as actually become productive ..

Wow, talk about "assumptions!" When exactly did I (or Burt) make any claim about "every pick in the top 3 rounds" being a hit? That would be rather ignorant a statement to make. But let's say your point is correct. Now whose math is bad? 1 out of 35 vs. a 50-50 shot. Hmmmm....

Besides, screw up the early part of your draft by say, picking a DT in the 1st and you have to pray that you hit on literally every single one of your late round picks to offset bad early picks.

I am not arguing you could get yourself a starting player, but they will be an average contributor, not a top tier dude who is going to help you into the playoffs, like a lot of 1st rounders will, but someone who is similar to another player you can pick up for $100 in FA auction...big deal...

No one other than you said all picks in the top 3 rounds are going to be hits...I just always have and always will put more effort into researching the earlier picks than the later picks...percentages for 'hits' in the top rounds are much higher...

You still haven't given any hard evidence that ANY of your picks from rounds 4 on down have 'made' your draft, of even had an impact on your Fantasy scoring...

Even the simplest of FF players know that you can't accurately judge a draft less than 3 years old, so I am not sure what you are looking for as 'proof'..

But if you look down my CHAMPIONSHIP roster and you will see it is chock full of low or undrafted selections: Tony Romo, Ryan Grant, Marques Colston, Brent Celek.. Plenty of late round developmental guys too: I would say that Justin Forsett was productive, Aqib Talib was an every week starter, Massaquoi had some big games and shows promise..

As for top-rounders, Limas Sweed and Ted Ginn are busts but Adrian Peterson, Desean Jackson. Joe Flacco and Curtis Lofton are high round starters. Seems at least 50/50 blend doesn't it?
