Salary Question
Jon Beason was a third round pick and I think his salary is capped at $680. MFL is showing him at $748. This is not a huge deal as I have the cap space but I wanted to make sure I understood how the salaries for the rookie deals are determined. thanks!

from what i understand, you only get rookie bonuses up to his cap which is based on when he was drafted, so if his capped salary based on position and round drafted is 680, then a rookie bonus should not take him over that

10 % yearly raise is added first..then any rookie bonus is added...bonus cannot take a player over the cap...the 10% raise can...if Pat doesn't respond, I'll look into it when I get back home...just ping me Friday if I haven't yet...

According to spreadsheet, Beason's salary was 680cb in 2009. A 10% raise takes him to 748cb..no rookie bonus was added - the 680 cap only refers to rookie bonuses taking a player beyond a salary limit...so once Beason hit 680cb salary, he stopped getting bonuses. So I am assuming his bonus in 2009 was not fully applied.
