Fire in Black Forest...

We have an 8000 acre fire in our backyard, so things are a bit hectic for the family right now....the edge of the forest is about a mile away from us, so should not reach our house, but we are on voluntary evacuation, and are shuffling back and forth into town.....so my updates may be a bit delayed this week until things are under control...

No problem Burt, having spent a week under not-quite mandatory/voluntary evacuation last year during the Waldo Canyon fire I know how hectic.. and surreal.. it can be!

For what it's worth, after the first day or two of dealing with it it became much simpler when I understood that I really only cared about saving my family, pets, computer and a few boxes paperwork, photos and mementos .. and realizing the rest could go up in flames because meh.. .. it was just stuff and could be replaced.

Thanks Matt and Hans...we are doing fine...a lot of homes lost (378 already), but sounds like things are getting a bit under control...raining right now, and temp droped from 88 to 64...so that helps....has not gotten any closer to us, just dealing with smoke....
