The rules for activating players from the Taxi/Practice Squad and then demoting them back read as follows:
Players can be demoted back to the Taxi Squad as long as they remain eligible for the Taxi Squad as defined in paragraph 1 of this section, and an open roster spot remains on the Taxi Squad. ALSO, PLAYERS DEMOTED BACK TO THE TAXI SQUAD RECEIVE A BONUS TO THEIR CURRENT YEAR SALARY BASED ON THE NUMBER OF CONSECUTIVE WEEKS ON THE ACTIVE ROSTER IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO THEIR DEMOTION AT A RATE OF 25 CB PER WEEK ACTIVE. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS RULE, A WEEK WILL BE DEFINED AS PASSED ONCE AN NFL GAME HAS BEEN PLAYED, BUT IN NO EVENT, ONCE A PLAYER IS ACTIVATED TO THE ACTIVE ROSTER MAY THEY BE DEMOTED WITHOUT BEING PAID AT LEAST ONE WEEKS BONUS. The bonus is immediate, and the following years performance bonuses and 10% increase are on top of the bonus: If a player is promoted from the Taxi/Practice squad for week 13 ( we play 2 that week) and then demoted back to Taxi/Practice, how many weeks for increase salary is that? Going strictly by the way the rules are written one could logically argue only one week. On the other hand one could argue that the player was used in two league games and gets the salary increase for 2 games which is the intent of the rules. Maybe this has come up before and a preference already set. |

1 NFL gameweek = 1 league week.
The double header does not make it 2 weeks active roster IMO. My 2 cents at least.

So if 2 games played for our double header week equals 2 games active for salary increase; what about the by weeks?
Also playoffs come into the picture. A couple years ago in Frenzy I was only charged for the game I was actually alive in the post season (Toilet Bowl). Just want to get these potential issues settled before I make some moves at seasons end so i know what I'm dealing with before hand. |

OK, well I guess based on this statement:
"For the purposes of this rule, a week will be defined as passed once an NFL game has been played, but in no event, once a player is activated to the active roster may they be demoted without being paid at least one weeks bonus. The bonus is immediate, and the following years performance bonuses and 10% increase are on top of the bonus:" I would have to go with Mike. So double headers count as one week, since only one week of NFL games have passed, and your players bye week also counts as one week, since an NFL game was still played.

I agree with Mike's 2 cents. And I believe bye weeks also count since NFL games are still played.
