A note on the Dak Prescott UFA bidding. He was opened during the off-season FA period, thus follows off-season bidding rules with a 48 hour timer to sell (72 hours for Friday/Saturday bids).

I was thinking the same thing but not sure. If so when did the waiver period begin? At the time of the violation notification, or at the 24 hour mark after he failed to be in compliance? Ruling needed by Jim on this one, I sent him a text to alert him.

No. A few years ago, we had a similar situation with Mike bidding on Willie Snead. He was released, no claims made, and sold at a much higher contract. This allows other teams to rebid, and be able to sign the player for longer than the 1-year default contract that would have been in effect if he would go through waivers.

There you have it. Past precedent means open bidding on Forte, Siemian and Garçon with no exposure to waivers due to the roster violations.

I almost feel guilty for the last hour bump on Decker yesterday. He likely would have sold at 140 without the bump, I was in up till 260 before my cap issues prevented me from taking him higher. He's currently at 315 and likely to go higher.
