Default Sam's Week 7 Notes

After a brief hiatus, Sam is back. This week he notes;

Indiana Undead-Paul Edinger’s 12.5 points was the 4th highest kicker score for the Undead. Peerless Price passed David Boston to become the Undead’s second leading receiver all time. Price has 199.5 points in 11 games for the undead.

Parkwood Predators- The Predators are off to their worst start ever at 4-3. Their 104.75 points was the 8th lowest in team history. LaDanian Tomlinson’s 36.1 points was the 7th highest RB score in Predator history. Shannon Sharpe’s 11.4 points was the 9th highest tight end score in team history. In Rich Gannon’s first game for a Franchise other than the Garbage Dogs/Nittany Dodgers, he posts his worst game total in his Frenzy career. There’s no place like home, Rich.

Philadelphia Freedom- The Freedom are off to their worst start ever at 1-6. The Freedom have tied their worst losing streak ever at 4 games, done previously in 2001 weeks 11-14 and 2002, weeks 7-10. Deuce McAllisters 29.35 points was the Freedom’s 7th highest RB score ever. Isaac Bruce’s 17.4 points was the 10th highest WR score in team history. The Dallas D score of 26 was the highest ever in team history, breaking the previous mark of Pittsburgh’s 17 done in week 3 of 2001. It also tied the 4th highest defensive score ever in the Frenzy. Dallas also passes Pittsburgh to become the all time leading D for the Freedom. Dallas has 144 points in 13 games for the Freedom.

Royal Hawaiin Opihi- The Opihi are off to their best start ever at 5-2. The Opihi’s 149.1 points was the 4th best score in franchise history. Marc Bulger’s 29.85 points was the 6th highest QB score in team history. Travis Henry’s 38.25 points was the highest score ever for an Opihi RB, breaking the previous record of 37.35 by Charlie Garner in week 1 of 2002. Joe Horn tied the 8th best WR score for the Opihi with 23.3 points. The Opihi defeat the Parkwood Predators for the first time ever. This leaves the Brain Dead Squirrel Chasers as the only franchise the Opihi have never defeated. Torry Holt passes Tim Brown to become the 3rd all time leading receiver for the Opihi. Holt has 125.65 points in 6 games for the Opihi.

Soap Box Derby Car- The Derby Cars have tied the franchise worst start at 2-5. Their 74.75 points was the 6th lowest score in franchise history. Jeff Wilkin’s 12.2 points was the 6th highest kicker score in team history. Philadelphia’s 16 points on defense tied the 4th highest D score in team history.

Liquid Swords- The Swords have tied the best start in team history at 3-4. Dominack Daivs’ 31.15 points was the 7th highest RB score in team history.

Jersey Toxic Waste- The Waste continue to extend their best start at 5-2. Their 131 points was the 5th best in team history. Terrell Owens’ 24.2 points was the 10th highest WR score in team history. Owens has all top ten WR scores for the Waste. Owens also passed the idle Marvin Harrison to become the Frenzy’s all time leading wide receiver. Owens has 586.55 points in 33 games for a 17.77 average. Todd Heap’s 20.4 points was the 2nd highest tight end score in team history, and 4th highest tight end score ever in the Frenzy. With his 10.2 points, John Carney passes Sebastian Janikowski to become the Frenzy’s all time leading kicker. Carney has 261.35 points in 30 games for a 8.71 average.

Wonder Mutts- The Mutts have their worst record after 7 weeks at 1-6. Their 54.35 points was the lowest score ever for the Mutts.

Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects- The Insects have tied their best record after seven weeks at 4-3, done also in 2001. Steve McNair’s 30.2 points was the 6th highest QB score in team history. Clinton Portis’ 29.75 points was the 7th highest RB score in team history. The Minnesota D score of 18 tied the 3rd highest D score in team history.

Brain Dead Squirrel Chasers- The Squirrel Chasers are 5-2 for the second straight year, tying their best start. Randy McMichael’s 14.2 points was the 5th highest tight end score in team history. The Squirrel Chaser margin of victory over the Nittany Dodgers of 69.5 points was tied the 6th highest margin of victory.

Nittany Dodgers- The Dodgers have their worst start ever at 1-6. Their score of 39.65 was the lowest ever in the Frenzy. Even without the 20 point penalty, it was the lowest score ever for the Dodgers. Tony Gonzalez’s 10.2 points was the 10th highest tight end score in team history.

Urza’s Ragers- The Ragers have their best start after 7 games at 6-1. Their 68.6 points was the 4th lowest score in team history.

Wow, Sam... I knew the part about the OPIHI defeating the PREDATORS for the first time... but didn't know some of the other "historical data." Thanks for sharing the love!

Anyone else find it funny that Hawaii is in the Eastern Division. Hehe, I guess they mean Far East. :p
