Vilma and Taylor to Save the Planet

“Wow. We’re just excited!” That’s all this reporter was able to garner from Eco Owner Jake Atz’s cell phone comments above the cheers and raucous hand-slapping in the Eco War Room. The team is celebrating the recent acquisitions of young, uber-talented IDP sophomores, Linebacker Jonathon Vilma and Safety Sean Taylor. And in this reporter’s humble opinion, they have a right to be celebrating – as do Eco Fans the world over.

Having dominated the college football world as teammates, Vilma and Taylor seem excited to be together again. The mood was festive in the Vilma household as Jonathon yelled into a cell phone at an equally ecstatic Sean Taylor, the two celebrating together their new future as Eco teammates. “Man, I’m ready to tear s**t up this year” said Vilma, “and I’m glad to go to a team with a dedication to defense – drafting Sean to play behind me proves that they know what’s up.” The powerful linebacker seemed very happy and peaceful minutes after learning his new fortune, his amazing confidence was unmistakable.

Continuing our conversation as the celebration subsides, Atz elaborated “As second year players, we feel Taylor and Vilma are already two of the best defensive players in the NFL. They both man incredibly productive positions from a statistics stand-point. They both have NFL teams with a great deal of commitment to them. Yes, I think you can count on each of them being a part of the Eco plan for a long time. We obviously have just now begun negotiations with each player’s agent, but I am happy to say that we will give both Jonathon Vilma and Sean Taylor whatever he wants.” Atz began to cut off the interview, then added “c’mon, they’re both Canes – the only guys out there who learn to play defense before they come to the NFL.”

Extreme happiness is my early read from the Eco Warriors camp. I think there is good reason. This is Scoop Dogg reporting.

I guess this would be a bad time to bring up the Redskins concerns that Taylor's holdout has less to do with money than the fact that he's already "burned out" by the NFL...
