Well the air is getting damp and chilly (at least the Philadelphia region) so it is time for the annual fire sale (usually only happens in the Frenzy so hopefully this won't be an annual occurance in the SAC'd). I actually think i have some decent parts on this SAC’d team but the injuries have not been kind.
Anyhow, the following players are all affordable and in play if you feel like you want to make a run for the title this year: * QB- Brett Farve $1,500 (1 year)- The Top QB in terms of points per game at 27.2 * WR- Jimmy Smith $900 (1 year)- Averaging close to 13 points a game * WR- Eddie Kennison $600 (1 year)- Averaging almost 10.4 a game * WR- Antonio Bryant $350 (1 year)- Averaging about 9.7 a game * DL- Jason Taylor $700 (1 year)- Second best DL averaging about 14.5 a game * DL- Kyle Vanden Bosch $300 (1 year)- Third best DL averaging about 12.3 a game I am looking to build for the future (I say this every year in the Frenzy but somehow the future never seems to get here!) so young players and/or draft picks are what I am shooting for. |

He has been the victim of some most unfortunate drafts and an annual rash of injuries over the years.

Definately, the injuries. My drafting has been fine with the exception Charles Rogers, Jabar Gaffney and using that supplemental pick on Tony Hollings did not really work out. Come to think of it other than Shockey and Leftwich (and possibly Brandon Lloyd) my drafting has not been so hot.
Oh, well there is always next year (or the next year)... |
