100
2yrs, cut Cleveland DT if I win ETA - max available years was 1, 2 would be exceeding the cap limit

Guys,
I was updating my own team page while preparing to make some moves for my bowl matchup against Brian, and when I input the moves, it appears I went over the contract years limit by one year by trying to give the Chargers D 2 years. I only used the Chargers D once (wk14) and it doesn't make a difference in the standings for that week. The question I have, is what penalty (if any) is applied? Is it a Roster Violation with the Chargers D cut and the 20% cap hit assessed? Or is it just dropped to a 1 year deal? This is a decision for the board to decide. Again, fortunately it has no impact on the games.

I believe technically, it would be a roster violation since you went over the contract year cap, but I don't know if this has happened before and we just reduced the contract to one year, which would set a precedent. I have no strong feelings.

I'm in favor of automatically reducing to one year... for this and any future incidents. It's very different from exceeding the salary cap, which requires roster adjustments. Now, if they didn't even have ONE year available, then I'd say we need to apply the cap penalty, too.
(Are you sure you didn't use them against me last week, Mike?) |

, no last week I started Baltimore D and all 24 of their points against you!I did start San Diego week 14 (the week I picked them up), and they scored 4 points, but I won by 32+ points that week.
