Seahawks 4.16 DE Darryl Tapp, Sea

If this guy doesn't make it, it won't be for lack of effort.

Damn... should've taken him when I had the chance. Any guy who beats Walter Jones (albiet in mini-camp)should be a sack master and he also dusted D'brickshaw Fergueson for 2 sacks when they faced off!

I like the pick.... he was my player behind Jon Alston at 4.14, but i thought he'd have a better chance of slipping to me at 5.6.

I want to know where you guys find the time to do the research on ALL 100+ players in the draft? I have an idea who Reggie Bush is, and what he's done. That's about the extent of it....

I watch a few games here and there but by scouting process usually comprimises of reading local rags, team newboards, FBG, google and google news.

Usually look at FBG as a rough place to start.... then I google certain players: check out the numerous pre-draft analysis on them (NFL.com, SI.com, and a bunch of other ones that pop up on google search), follow it up by checking out what I can find on FBG (Bloom's pre and post draft analysis, FBG rankings, and whatever info I find in the forums), then my last stop is google news, type in players name and see what the local rags bring up.

Takes about 30 minutes to 1 hr to research if you have specific players in mind.

This is a whole lot funner with IDPs on board b/c the IOPS this year suck... so there's always something to read.

I would agree that after the top 10 or so off player, the talent level is really poor. Some 2nd rounder will no doubt surprise us but predicting who it will be is a lottery. TO be honest I was surprised to do so well considering my first pick was in the 4th round but looking back I am not sure there is much difference in talent between 2.12 and 4.5.

Agreed as far as offensive players go there is no difference between the 2nd round and 4th round this year. Just take a look at SACD and Frenzy rookie draft and of the WRs taken in the 4th round in SACD (D. Williams, T. Wilson, Avant, Hagan) all went in the 2nd round in Frenzy except for Wilson who slipped to 3.2!

So if you're looking on the offensive side of the ball I would agree that the 2nd rounder is just as good as a 4th.
