Rule Discussion - Revising Tender Offer Levels

Jim and I have chatted a few times that it might be time as a league for us to reassess the tender levels for RB's WR, and TE's in particular.

As we've seen the past few seasons WRs have now surpassed RB's for the leagues highest salaries, and elite TE's are pricing in the 2nd tier WR range. Meanwhile RB salaries have dropped dramatically.

Looking for feedback before putting up a poll on revising the tender levels for these key positions.

Current RFA Tender Levels

QB
1st 1200
2nd 800
3rd 400
4th 200

RB
1st 2400
2nd 1600
3rd 800
4th 400

WR
1st 1800
2nd 1200
3rd 600
4th 300

TE
1st 750
2nd 400
3rd 250
4th 150

K
1st 400
2nd 300
3rd 200
4th 150

D
1st 600
2nd 450
3rd 300
4th 225

My thoughts are:
QBs no changes
RBs should be set equal to the current WR levels (1800, 1200, 600, 300).
WR should increase 200 for 1st and 2nd rd levels and 100 for 3rd and 50 for 4th rd (2000, 1400, 700, 350).
TEs I think should be equal to the current QB scale (1200, 800, 400, 200).
Ks no changes
DT no changes

What are your opinions?

I like WR and TE changes, but I think we keep RBs the same. I think your RB drop is too drastic.

How many RBs are making 2400 in 2017? Just 1, McCoy who was likely over tendered. Last year we had 1 2000cb RB.

How about dropping the RB scale to the proposed WR scale of (2000, 1400, 700, 350)?

Updated Proposed Tender Scale for 2018 and beyond:

QBs no changes
RBs decreased to new WR levels (2000, 1400, 700, 350).
WRs increased to (2000, 1400, 700, 350).
TEs increased to equal the current QB scale (1200, 800, 400, 200).
Ks no changes
DTs no changes

I agree. The way the NFL has changed the RB position, and become a passing league... I think it behooves us to consider this for NEXT season. I'd like us to get the vote done this year so it can take effect in 2018.

Since RFA process is underway this particular vote will be for the 2018 season. All the other votes thus far apply to the 2017 season (since we're still in the off-season).
