I was torn between 2 DE's for the "final" pick in the SACD draft (Needles and Eco Warriors have 24 hours to get their missed picks in or forfeit them).
In the end, I went with the smaller, but quicker, more explosive guy in a defensive scheme that knows how to rush the passer. Plus, byb all reports, Del Rio is salivating over adding Groves to his pass rush and was stoked to be able to move up in round 2 to get him. NFL.com's draft analysis: Quote:

This guy was a terror against Bama. Whether or not he has the size for the NFL will remain to be seen. Great speed though.
That comparison to Merriman and Ware is wierd, though. I think he compares more to Kearse. Merriman is much bigger and stronger than Groves will ever be. |

We were waffling between Groves and Merling in the 5th, but decided to go with the guy who's more of an every down player. I really like Groves, but for the foreseeable future, he's strictly a pass-rush specialist. Then again, that doesn't necessarily mean he won't be hefty for fantasy.
