Hey Guys!

I have 4 questions.

1) Is the RFA tender for 1st round RB starting at 2000 or 2400. I found 1 answer in rules and 2nd on forum...answer might change my tenders.

2) Since Santonio Holmes is suspended for 1st 4 games of this season is he concidered "out" and elgible for the IR?

3) I find a points discussion on forum about RFA compensation but don't see anything in the rules. My understanding that if you decline to match a player that you tendered a 2nd rounder that you get a pick at the end of the 2nd round is wrong...it has to do with final bid CB's over starting bid and points?

4) Bonuses based on performance ONLY apply to the origional rookie contract so since Drew Brees was 3rd QB last year and he is not on his origional rookie contract he is not awarded an increase other than the yearly 10%, right?

Hey John,
I think we are working on revising the rules to include all the changes made over the past few years..sorry for the confusion. If you see new rules in the RULES thread, those will override those rules in the Doc.

So yes, 2400 is 1st round RB level

2) If you look at rules doc, under Injured Reserve, you'll see "The 1st available date to list a player on IR is Monday, August 29, 2005 at 12:00am " - so even though he will qualify for IR, it won't be until this date - well, in 2010 that is...

3) We went to a points system for compensation for losing an RFA..here is new systems http://www.predsff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11954

4) Yes, bonuses are based on the original rookie contract..so you sign a rookie for 5 years, they are subject to performance bonuses those 5 years...all players will get a 10% increase each year..the rookie bonus is in addition to that..so if Brees is no longer on rookie contract, than he only gets the 10% increase, correct

It looks like you, Scorpions and LLamas all listed amounts in your 2010 tenders that match up to the chart in rules where 1st round tender for RB is 2000 also. Others maybe too, they just didn't list CB tender amounts. That's where I came up with the incorrect cb tender totals.

I wouldn't want to put SHolmes on IR until the beginning of the season when his 4 game suspension would start anyway...I just wondered if getting suspended counted as "out".

I understand RFA compensation is on a revised point system now...I may revise my 3 bids again if we don't get our 12th owner soon!

Thanks for clearing that up BEFORE the bidding started...I would have been frustrated!!!
