This kid was a three-year starter at South Florida, a vocal team leader and captain. He is prototypical free safety who is clean off the field and has a great work ethic. Although not be a violent hitter, he does take good angles in run support and is a sure tackler. He also has excellent cover skills, shows good route recognition and has centerfielder range.
In other words, he is an ideal fit for the Eagles' scheme and clearly, one of the biggest problems with the Eagles' defense last season was filling the gap left by the departure of Brian Dawkins. I expect Nate Allen to step into the Eagles Defense and be highly productive right out of the gates..
