Correct, although the cap hit should still apply and be split 50/50 between 2015 and 2016 since we're in the softcap period.

Cap hit?Either he's sold to Freedom & off the market... or the sale is null & void with no cap hit, & Hightower is a FA again.

IMO he sold to the Freedom. The bid was made before elimination. He can release him or assign 1 year and let it ride out.

He needs to have roster and cap space to just let him ride out till the off-season. If he doesn't have space, then a cut would be necessary within 24 hours of of Hightower's sale.

He sells to Freedom in my opinion. I believe Matt has space and cap without cuts if I remember correctly.

I was late on bumping him this morning.
