Franchise Calculations

Currently, we consider the top 10 players at each position when calculating franchise tags; however, this appears to have made it easier to franchise players in recent years.

This poll is to see if we should adjust the franchise calculation from 10 years to either 5, 4 or 3 years. If we don't have a majority on one, we will take the top two and have a separate runoff poll.

If this changes like it looks it will, will the new values go into effect for this year? What about those that have already franchised players? Will they be adjusted?

Yes, if it passes, since this season has not started yet, it will be for this year. So anyone who has franchised a player will be allowed to change their mind...they are not set in stone until rollover anyway

Looks like it's going to be either top 4 or top 5 players (just missing Assassins vote). I know some teams may adjust their RFAs based on the franchise values, so I'll try to get top 4 and top 5 averages posted here this afternoon.

Since it looks like most teams would rather have something other than top 10, how about closing this out, and creating new poll to change it to top 4 or top 5?
