Cutting Taxi Squad Players?

How does this effect the cap if I cut them now vs after the season?
I am looking to cut these two players:

Williams, Karlos FA RB (S)

They are free cuts unless they were active at some point. If they were ever active same as active roster cuts. I believe the APP would show if they were active.

Since they are TS and PS and neither were previously active, there is no cut penalty even if you cut them after the hard to soft cap period cutover in a few hours. Only active (or previously active in case of TS) players are subject to hard cap or soft cap penalties.
