We've debated rolling with Shady for 1 more year for months, and for months he's been on our most likely not to make the roster list. After watching him in the preseason, we didn't come away with happy feelings that he can still create yards out of nothing. Ageless Frank Gore is better suited to ground and pound, and Singletary looks like the real deal and is certainly the future in Buffalo.

So we send Shady off in the sunset of his career and wish him well, and bump ageless Frank up to a 2 year deal for mentoring Singletary.

This also makes room for us to promote RB Justin Jackson and/or Rashaad Penney up to the Active Roster in the apparent absence of holdout Melvin Gordon.
