2.15 RB Ran Carthon – Indianapolis

While it might seem early to take an undrafted FA the Colts have shown no fear in handling over the reigns to an unknown RB. Arandric “Ran” Carthon is a good prospect that does everything well and has a great running back build; he is very solid and can be a load to tackle. He also has been used extensively as a pass-catcher while at Florida, and has even done some kick return duty. He also showed much better than expected speed at the Indianapolis Combine, running the 40-yard dash in approximately 4.4 seconds.

With James angling for a big payday the Colts could need another back sooner rather than later. This might explain why GM Bill Polian was quoted as saying, “We paid pretty handsomely to get him."
