John is correct..does not matter when Bid is made..the clock stops at 11:59 the night prior to the game being played:

If a player's 24 hour challenge period hasn't expired prior to 11:59pm on Saturday, bidding on that player will suspend until the following Tuesday at 12:00am when the 24 hour clock will resume.

If a bid is made on any player between 12:00am Sunday and 11:59pm Monday the bid will be treated as if it were made on Tuesday at 12:00am and the 24 hour challenge period will not begin until that time. Also note, that for players involved in Thursday or Saturday games, the clock will suspend the evening prior to their game(s) at 11:59pm and won't resume until the following Tuesday at 12:00am.

Thursday games were Thanksgiving only when the rules were written, not every week as they are this year. Plus, Brian was the anal one on shit like that. I was fine with players selling up until gametime.

Just getting to look at this thread (it's still morning here in Hawaii).
My first thought was that the 24 hour window goes up until game time on Thursday games. Evidently, I didn't know the rules either.
We'll have to leave Mike's bid as is... but I'll propose changing the rule immediately, effective next week. Will make a rules change post & see if we can get enough votes by this weekend. Makes sense to take it to gametime, as there's such a small window between Tuesday @ 12:00am & Wednesday at 11:59pm... now that we have Thursday games every week.

To be consistent, bids for players in Thursday games that occur after the game has started should still be frozen until Monday at midnight just like players in Saturday/Sunday games.

You know, I only brought it up quickly because I was afraid you were going to start him tonight and I didn't think we really wanted to go there... I plan on continuing the auction since I wasn't able to secure Sanders to cover my injured Henderson. I was just waiting to see how the claim turned out.

Hey, my apologies to you. You had the rule correct (stupid as it is/was in todays NFL).

My venting was in no way aimed directly at you , more so at just being pissed off because I lost a good option for tonight over a bad rule that hadn't been updated.
