Mr. Ward, welcome to the Popes squad. Ignore the fact that I made failed attempts to land Chad Johnson, Drew Bennett, and Tony Gonzalez before bidding on you. You are first in our hearts ;)

As far as the price goes, I feel like he should cost less, given his drop to 6 TDs last year, but this is RFA. I needed to make Mutts make a decision, especially after failing to land the last 3 guys I tried. Now if I'd have known about the Honduras trip, I could have bid less ;)

Regardless, I'm a big Ward fan and I expect him to return to normal #s this year (5 year average: 1089 yards, 9 TDs).

If he was my top WR, I'd be worried. If we was my 2nd WR, I'd be content. But he's my 3rd WR, and that makes me extremely happy

Steve Smith + TO + Hines Ward starting on a weekly basis. I'm more than satisfied. Until TO does something insane and screws me, that is.

You may have overspent for Mr. Ward but as a 3rd WR he is definatley worth every penny, since your best WR makes half of your highest paid WR and less than your 3rd WR.
