Liven up the board

This section of the board has been real dead. I think now that we can see everyone's leagues, maybe we will be more open to discussing football in general here.

I know I am looking for a board that is not as elitist as the FBG board has become.

I know some will be unwilling to discuss strategy on the board, but I think it would be cool if we could start our own fantasy football community here.

I'm all for growing the discussion here. In fact to help accomplish this I'd like to increase the membership here by inviting a couple more leagues to join in. If anybody on the board is a part of a league that needs a home and consists of quality, knowledgable owners, please contact me and I'll see if it makes sense to add the members to our community.

As long as I don't crush my allowable bandwith of 5gig each month (currently I'm way below the allowable transfer rate I get each month, using maybe 15-20% each month), I'd like to see the traffic here increased. I could easily see doubling the membership in the future, but starting out by adding say 2 leagues would be my 1st goal.

As for some fantasy discussusion, I'd love to see more Football talk too. I think we can begin this by encouraging anyone to post polls in the bew Polls section. These polls randomly appear on the PredsFF.com portal, in addition to being accessable by the boards here. Everyone has access to post a poll or to reply to the polls, and polls can be a good way to get discussion going.

I'd also love to see some more football commentary in the news and notes section. We have board members from around the country, as well as a few from outside the US. Perhaps we could liven things up if more than just myself or Skip started posting links and snippets of articles (please include the source if its a major publication) about our hometown or favorite NFL teams or players.

If we can increase the traffic in the News & Notes section, I will begin selecting key points of interest to be featured articles on the portal main page, with thegoal of making that page a key stopping point for current news about Football and the Forums community we have here.

Perhaps we can start things off with some discussion on the upcoming NFL draft in preperation for our drafts. I know Doggler is stoked about this rookie draft, and has accumulated about 10 picks in the Greek Mythology League rookie draft as a result! Perhaps we could encourage Doggs to provide some insight on why he feels so strongly about this draft (in a way where he doesn't have to give all his secrets away). How bout it Doggler? Any others are encouraged to join in too. Don't be shy!
