The drafting team makes their pick anytime after the 24 hour clock, other teams can just step in front of them. There's no one to step in front, he just needs to get it done and we can move on.

Sorry guys, Burt caught me after being up 22 straight hours (on 3 hours sleep the night before no less), I was a cranky SOB just trying to check-in quick and totally unprepared to be OTC. Burt. I know I wasn't a pleasure to chat with that night.

I was out of town the entire weekend, out most of the time till 3-4am and getting up at 7am to be in and out of meetings. I had net access, but wa so tired everytime I poked in, that I just didn't have the eneggy to update the tracker, look who was available, and made a pick.

Thus I told Burt that it'd have to wait till Monday (probably later today to be honest, as I'm about to head out to do some chores with my son). I told Burt that if it couldn't wait till Monday that I'd just forfeit the pick if need be. I wasn't trying to gain an advantage or drag out my pick, I was just way too tired to focus on updating the Draft Tracker and figuring out my pick.

That said, I know my version of the Draft Tracker at my office was current through my last 5th rounf pick, but those I have at home are only like round 3 or something. So unless someone has a current app they can email to me, I'll need to update mine before I can figure out a pick. That's most likely to happen late this afternoon.

I don't have an updated tracker though. I will email you my list of players picked and you can just copy/paste into your tracker.

OK, well Mike has gone ahead and made his pick. Misunderstandings all around I guess. I wasn't trying to say let's not let Mike pick. But we also can't be setting a precedent that if the last pick of the draft doesn't make his pick within the 24 hour clock, that it holds up the UFA period indefinitly. I wasn't too worried about Mike having that intention, thus the ruling to start up UFA bidding and let Mike chime in with his pick whenever he felt led to.

All's good now, and we can commence with the bidding. Good rookie draft overall for everyone. Great group of owners here and it's been proved out again!!

Generally, the rookie draft is done far before the UFA period is set to being. Mike's just fubared our schedule all around this year.

Since SAC'd was created, I think UFA period has always started 48 hours after rookie draft has ended? At least it did last year, so I made same assumption for this years calendar.

Hmm. I assume the calendar carried over from the Frenzy, with UFA starting on 6/1, but maybe not. I didn't actually check the rules I guess. I just wanted to blame Mike for some stuff.
