Confirmed... just to be clear however, the pick is the compensation pick for Todd Heap, which is currently 1.17, but isn't set in stone, it's the Comp pick for losing Todd Heap, and currently is 1.17 barring a decline or 2 above of other players what the difference was from Heaps sale.
My thoghts on this deal... I've been searching for another impact WR to pair up with Marvin for under 800 in salary. I lost out on the Steve Smith, which was a bummer, but I found a legit WR2 in Coles with this one (and kept my 1.4 and 1.5). While I really struggled with giving up the 17th overall pick (at the moment) for a guy on a 1 year deal that I likely won't tender with McGahee, Marvin, and Heap coming off 1 year deals next year, I am in a win now mode, and felt it was too risky to hope I'd land one of the 4 or 5 impact UFA WR's on the market in that price range. I also was very close to retaining Heap in the hopes of trading him for a WR in this price range late August, so in that sense, I meet my original goal there, while also picking up a cheap viable QB2 to pair with Palmer. Thanks for the fun back and forth discussion Matt, good luck this year.

Not going to quibble at this point but you presented this as pick 1.17 (so hopefully it does not fall too far below that). As for Coles, I like him but like you noted he is under contract for one year and at this point I think I would like to try and get someone a little younger (with a longer deal). Since this is a draft rich with WR's this seemed like a good time to make a move. As for McNair, I was looking to clear the cap space and trading him saved me the cap penalty for a cut. Hopefully this will work out for both of us.
