As long as Peyton is the QB, don't bench Decker. Even after a horrendous game like last week's in NE. My match vs. the Swords is probably out of reach... But I could be kicking some serious Predator butt... (Sigh)...

Funny thing is, Jim still has a good chance to beat me this week without Decker.
Thanks go out to the Swords though, it's likely Jim will fall a bit short of overtaking them. If he somehow does though, he will win the division if I also lose to the Burners.

Should be an interesting finish for sure...I think I have one of the WC slots locked up with my 2 wins, and a scoring change in my favor against the Scorpions last week.
Still sucks, I could have 2nd best record in league, but lose home field advantage to both the other division champs...oh well... or did we eliminate the silly 7 point home field advantage rule?

Division winners should get Home Field. I don't think it's silly at all, and usually I'm in a WC slot and playing against it. I haven't won the division in many years.

You sound like you would be a good fit with NCAA rules committee, still living in the 80's... I will go ahead and push for rule change next year, like we smartly approved in SAC'd, to base seedings on Record, and not whether you got lucky and ended up in a weak division....

Burt, i think you forgot that Mike is in the strongest division, at least that what he said when he got back in the league. I realize that was trash talk and we have a new Mike this year but he can still get harranged on stuff he said in the past.

Yes, I think we have shown which Division is far and away the best division this year at least...

On a side note... I think you'll find that the vast majority of games aren't within 7 points... So that shouldn't be a factor. (I'm sure that makes you feel a WHOLE LOT MORE CONFIDENT!)

I'm sure the kc chiefs feel the same way right now, tossed aside by Denver, still they have to travel first round of playoffs and play a 8-4 team. ;-)
Carolina even has it worse. |

In the Frenzy, we gave a points advantage to somewhat mimic this advantage in the playoffs (though we do it on a far smaller scale). Realistically it should probably be 12-15 points since our average score is 4-5 times that of a typical NFL game. To be honest, I'd be open to giving it for regular season home games. I like it, whether I'm playing against it or with it.

Yah, well if you noticed the game last night, home field advantage in REAL LIFE is quite an advantage, in that home crowd fuels the players. No denying that.
In FF, it ludicrous to think you need to give "Home Field" advantage. could be most of your players are actually playing on the road, so you have to give up points even though majority of your team is visiting? Gimme a break

I'd be up for this. Home/Away really means nothing in FF regular season.
It would be a cool addition (right up until someone loses their first game by less than whatever the home field points were, and then the cosmic sense of fairness would be rattled and a petition to revoke this "stupid rule" would make the way onto our message boards). |
