Guys, let me regale you with the science behind peacockery.

The male peacock has magnificent plumage. The purpose for the plumage is to attract a mate. The more spectacular the plumage, the more ladybird the male peacock will receive. But why...why...WHY is this? Why do ladybirds find all this plumage so drop dead sexy? Think about this quesiton for a moment...peacocks, like most of us, have natural predators.
