Card management has been formally notified from the league offices of a fully funded, legal offer sheet on WR Golden Tate...
HC Couch has been dismissed from the decision group for personal reasons... A final decision will be made within a few hours...We will not drag this out...

As most of you know Cards hate giving up on players especially RFAs going all the way back to Monte Ball and Andre Williams...We are loyal to players who have been loyal to the organization...one might say we put the highest value on loyalty...so much so that it becomes our biggest fault as an organization when developing our roster...
That being said we value Tate tremendously or would not have tendered him...we believe he is inline for a pretty good season with his NFL team... 2019 will be our largest draft class in recent memory...the organization welcomes the infusion of youthful talent, but still need viable veterans to carry the team while youth become useful... We are not happy to see a division rival put us to this decision...we are about to propose a rule change where division rivals cannot tender RFAs at the minimum...we realize this is not a "thing, but wish it was... We are happy to welcome baaaaaa....NOPE can't do it... Cards anticipate having to promote a rookie or two to the Active Roster this season along with paying Marlon Mack active cbs...so we thank Golden for his service and wish him well as he embarks on new adventures with Emerald Coast... Wow... I'm a little surprised being his potential (50 million targets vacated by Odell) and the fairly low cost to keep him. I was close to bumping, but figured you'd match anyway if it was that low...

Well...all I can say is that it was hard to do and I have a master plan for that cap space to include promoting Mack and his 500 something salary...still got moves to make and 700 makes it easier...plus now a division rival has to burn some more cap space...those 2700 cbs receivers come with a price and losing Tate was a part of that...
