Confirming CAP Hit for Cut TS and PS Players

TS:
If Player was never promoted to Active, No Cap Hit when Cut
If player was ever promoted to Active and then placed back on TS, then full cap hit when Cut.

PS:
No Cap hit when Cut - Players cannot be promoted from PS , then placed back to PS.
However, if Promoted to Active, then placed on TS, full cap hit would apply.

Using my team as an example.
Cutting Chad Williams or Devante Davis - I would incur NO Cap hit
Cutting Jordon Wilkins - since he was active 1wk, full $165 Cap hit.

Do I have this correct?

Interesting...the rules don’t cover cutting PS players, but I believe it is no penalty...the promoted TS player is covered and the penalty applies even if back on TS...not sure if they (bosses) would give you a break being new and you didn’t promote...I would at least ask...

I want to cut some players I didn’t mean to draft or buy...that not covered either...I think it’s called a mulligan...don’t I have 2 of those saved up bosses???

There is no penalty to cut PS players. There is also no penalty to cut TS players unless they've been active at some point.

And yes, Jordan Wilkins WOULD be subject to penalties if he was CUT as he's been active, even if for just 1 week or 1 day.

Note, moving down to TS incurs a salary increase of 5cbs per week active. No Cap hit unless the player is released.

Thanks for the confirmation. And I don't need a mulligan. Wilkins is staying put for a while. Still might have some value. Mainly wanted to know about the other two.

You don't have to make cuts for your rookies until declarations are due. Just making sure you understand that.

Just thought that a player that spent 2-3 months on a roster during preseason a few years ago, was cut before regular season, and never heard from again was not worth keeping around. I have two others that I am looking at cutting, but will hold off until mid-August before making a final decision on those two..

I’m hoping for improvement from Taywan Taylor but Titan roster moves are trending the wrong way. Because I am so tight with cap space I will probably have to keep him rather than take the cut penalty.
