And the first punt returner is taken off the board.

I just don't see a guy that didn't dominate at the college level coming in and being a major offensive threat. I'm putting a poor man's Pater Warrick ceiling on him.

:homer ALERT

FWIW, he had an impressive mini-camp. He'll never put up WR1 numbers, but I can see him replaceing Moulds in a year or 2 after Evans takes over the #1 job and Moulds' contract outweighs his performance.

For now, he's likely to be the 3rd WR playing the slot. He'll have some big games I'll wager, and just as many with no production. A hit or miss weekly boom/bust prospect.

Midway through the 5th round, I think it's a pretty good value. I like the pick.

I will start of by saying I am anything from a drafting expert, and claim nothing of what I am going to say should be relied upon. No warranties are expressed or implied. This post is for entertainment purposes only.

Roscoe Parrish didn't start until his senior year. Even then he posted a modest 693 yards. He's small, runs less than great routes, aligator arms passes over the middle, and while he has a 4.43 time in the 40, it is less than top notch speed. I really don't see a huge upside for this guy. How many WRs have come from the Florida Schools and busted out on the scene when they weren't dominant in college?

I think he has the potential to be an NFL WR2 (after a few seasons of development). In fantasy terms, probably a matchup WR3 is the best you could ever expect.

Once again, it's 5th round...

If he's a bust, I'm not out much!

It is true, that unlike the NFL, our teams will not be made by our later round picks. However, since this was one of the few players I wasn't familiar with and actually did research on, I figured I'd spout out what little knowledge I had.

Bills | Teammates talking up Parrish - from www.KFFL.com
Sun, 1 May 2005 14:20:16 -0700

The Associated Press reports Buffalo Bills rookie WR Roscoe Parrish has his Buffalo teammates saying good things about him. He is the smallest receiver on the roster at 5-foot-9. Parrish made a strong first impression with his new teammates by the conclusion of a three-day minicamp this weekend. He lined up in the slot during the minicamp. Right now the team sees him competing for the team's No. 3 WR spot on the depth chart. His college coach Larry Coker once referred to him as "the most exciting player I've ever coached."

I like the pick... of course, probably because he was on my board also.. Great minds think alike.:jealous
