Insects: that Stallworth spite bid is bulletin board material for our matchup this year. I've got your papal beatdown penciled in...

lol, if Frank didn't bump him, I woulda.

Depending how things shake out, I STILL might do my part to keep Donte in play. I like him a lot at that number.

As I see it, we're all waiting on the Insects and maybe Opihi.

Once the Insects decide on LT, Preds can decide on Alexander, maybe giving them enough info to make a Harrison decision. However, Preds probably won't make a Harrison decision until they see what happens with Holt. I can't do anything until I see what happens with Harrison. Opihi may well be waiting to see what happens with Stallworth tonight to make a Holt decision.

The ball is also in Opihi's court because he can start the WR chain falling in his preferred direction. If he keeps Holt, Preds probably keep Harrison, and probably I keep Stallworth tonight. If Opihi lets Holt go, Pred probably let Harrison go, and I probably let Stallworth go. A word of warning to Opihi: your power to move things the way you want ends at 12:10am (Eastern) tonight! I'm not sitting around for 72 hours once my guy is up. I plan to make a decision on Stallworth right when he ends, pushing the dominoes in MY preferred direction ;)

Insects and Opihi, let's git r done! This 72 hour thing is driving me nuts.

:taz <-- me checking the website every 15 minutes and finding no action
, great post, not sure how I missed it. But you nailed it. The decision making is all inter-related.

I will clue you in on this much, I plan to keep Marvin...

I think. :p

I'm gonna start the ball rolling.

Buh bye Shaun, SORRY we ever signed you. Frank, 2900 is a great price, he just doesn't fit my plans. Have fun getting him back.

YAWN

After all that bitching and moaining yesterday about things being slow, and folks debating their match/decline activities and whatnot, we got things rocking and rolling... and should have freed up some :bling for several of you to bid on the existing open RFA's, or put up some new players.

So....

Where is the activity today? I want entertainment! :dammit

:feedback

Maybe I should talk some SABRES hockey.

Game 2 is tonight at 7 at the HSBC arena. I'll be there again watching my boys take it to the Rags!

Television coverage for tonights game is on the Bull Riding network (for some reason they call themselves Versus).

Game 3 is 2pm Sunday at MSG in NY. It's also on nationally on NBC.

Tune in and watch the forthcoming 2007 Stanley Cup Champs!

GO SABRES!

Sabres is all good if Vanek rocks the house again. Other than that, all you'd get is a big yawn from me. This RFA period is more fun to watch than a non-local NHL game.

Tsk tsk, you REALLY don't know what you're missing. The Wiold play a boring style of hockey, whereas the Sabres are pure speed and excitment. Their games are vastly entertaining if your a fan of the sport.

ETA, even if you're NOT a fan of hoeckey, the Sabres are still a vastly entertaining team to watch. The NHL needs to market their brand of hockey, as it's really what they need to get fans back who got tired of yawning watching the trap.

I enjoy watching the wild. The style of game doesn't matter as much to me in the NHL. Coming from the state of hockey as I do, I'd much rather watch a high school or college game than I woudl NHL, Wild or not. Watching two good high MN high school teams gives you a great quality of hockey, minus all things stupid in the NHL, enforcers, fighting, etc etc. The Gophers, always being good, are always fun to watch. But the NHL? Lame. Until goons have no place in the NHL, I'll just stick to the Wild and deal with it with them, but as soon as they are out, I couldn't care less.

Thomas Vanek once again does his Gophers proud! He was awesome in the 3rd.

Sabres didn't deserve this one after the 1st 2 periods, but when the woke up 24 seconds into the 3rd, you could smell the victory on it's way.

This is a day I never thought I'd see. Whenever Brian and I talk hockey, I'm so anti-NHL due to the fighting that Brian's the moderate one defending it ("it has it's place"; "it's much better than it used to be"). Nice to see you arguing my side for once! :clap

Yes, I'll argue that it has its place, much like pitchers hitting batters in retaliation in baseball, but given the choice, I'd rather watch the version of the sport that it without such senseless violence.

Speaking of which, let's get back to football....

See that's just it, the Sabres play the type of game you'd like. They're not about clutch & grab, fighting, etc.

They're about speed, finesse, great passing, awesome stickhandling, and athletic goaltending... all the best elements of the sport. Vanek fits in with them perfectly because these are all his assets as a payer as well (minus the athletic goaltending of course).

FTR, I also hate the slowed down clutch grab and fighting aspects of the NHL, I only came back when they changed the rules to open the game, and it is much improved (though there is still room for improvement).

Yeah, I really intended to let Brian do all this for me, but changed my mind due to a combination of how addicting it is, and my school work load surprisingly lessening a few weeks ago. A MAJOR project wrapped itself up without me having to put in the hours I thought I'd have to
