Browns CUT RB Jamal Lewis CLE (3500/2yrs)

See ya going with someone younger.

Can't believe no one wanted to move up from the th5 5th to the 3rd for absorbing the 1085 cap hit. Oh well... guess some teams would rather sit on their 2000-3000k of cap space.

I can't believe you just cut the biggest bargain of the off season, and a guy that was a dead lock sinch to finish the season as a top 5 RB for the likes of Chris Perry.

Shit happens. Look at LT whose was valued at over 6000k. Where is he ranked?

Did I believe Jamal Lewis was a lock to produce Top 5 numbers again? Yes, but that was with the belief that the Browns passing game was for real and they would continue to force opponents to respect the pass opening up huge plays for Lewis. Well so far Anderson looks to have lost his mojo, stupid Braylon Edwards has dropped everything in sight and is playing with a bum shoulder, and Kellen Winslow is being forced to block every 1st and 2nd down due to the vanilla play calling.

With no passing game... no running lanes for Lewis. Do I believe Lewis can still get it done, yes. He's still healthy and runs hard. If they can ever get their passing game in a groove you'll see Lewis become a beast again.

Just had to call you out on it considering the confidence you had in Lewis was to such an extreme level, I hadn't seen anything like it since a certain someone doubted Antonio Gates.

The bigger they are (boasts in this case), the harder they fall.

Probably comperable to where he was at this point last year...maybe a bit better....it's the ranking at the end of the season that makes it all worth while...

Hey at least I have the balls make a claim and enough balls to cut bait.... maybe that's why I don't like "luck" determining my victories.

Anyways I was pimping Lewis b/c of his value as a FA and not so much his studdness b/c I knew it was tied to his surrounding (not supporting, they made him) cast. This is more about misjudging the Browns offense then Lewis.

I think you're blaming the symptoms and not the malady in Cleveland. Their O-line isn't opening running lanes or giving Anderson any time to throw. It doesn't help that as you pointed out, Braylon is dropping everything thrown his way, plus the coaching staff seems to think Winslow isn't worth working into the offensive game plan.

I'd pile on about Jamal, but then I'm the one who traded Galloway and a 2nd for Anderson.
