Move QB Tony Romo DAL to IR
Preds states in the thread below that there are cases where IR is appropriate without an injury report. Looks like a time bomb to me, but there seems to have been plenty of precedents. So if that's the common practice - I will use it.
http://www.predsff.com/forums/showth...red+reserve+IR And if that's not okay, just let me know and I will cut someone. (Poor Blair White, just can't hold on to a roster spot anywhere.....) |

Nice find Steve!! I guess that sets the precedence for players on a teams IR/PUP but not on weekly Injury report....

It's Mike, but thank you
![]() I think we need to disarm this time bomb. Preds talks about published reports from reputable sources....I can't help but wonder, what makes a source reputable? It's only a matter of time until we disagree. So perhaps the IR rule should be that you have to be either on the LATEST injury report, or on the IR and PUP lists. No exceptions. PS - And I still think dead, suspended and incarcerated players should also be IR eligible, but won't be rehashing that fight again

I still think it would be easiest to just use MFL statuses...it is always up to date with the latest official news, from my experience, and makes the life of the keeper of MFL so much easier, as no research is needed...
I guess I have been lax in SAC'd and usually just go by MFL when an owner asks to place a player on IR....but these discussions have made me more restrictive until we pass a new rule there too....

I am still skeptical of MFL due to bad experiences, but I can live with it in principle.
However.....what would you do if ten days from now I said "Player X was not listed as Questionable on October 29th. So he was placed on IR in violation of the rules and penalties are due."? There's no way to document the MFL injury status, it's my word against yours. |
