Can anyone tell me why Heuerman is not on Killer Bee's roster??? He was drafted by King Douglas (former owner) in the 2015 draft 3.01 and I do not see a cut or drop or waiver....could it be that he never offered him a contract??? Doesn't that require a cut or waiver situation??? Just curious because I KNOW he was drafted out of THE Ohio St...PLEASE update me as I have scoured the cut/waiver list...THANKS...

scratch my earlier comments, according to Pat's post above Cowboys didn't have TS room for Heuerman.

So this was automatic since there was no individual post for a cut or waiver??? If I don't sign one of (or any) my draftees, then you all just have to figure it out on your own??? Hmmm...interesting...
THEN no one could put them on PS since there was no official rookie contract through the draft process....hmmmm, again....

From Section 5A of rules:

Teams are required to assign contract years and declare Active or Taxi squad roster assignments to rookies by the end of the off-season free-agency period which ends August 15th each season. Rookies will not count against your cap until contract years have been assigned and they have been placed on your Active Roster, Taxi Squad (TS), or Developmental Squad (DS). If placed on your Active Roster, you must have room under the cap to accommodate the player. If a rookie is not declared active or TS/DS by the end of the free agency period, he will become a free agent available to open bidding. Rookies may be cut during the off-season free-agency period with no cap hit, however, once they are declared active the cap penalty rules will apply.

If a rookie contract is not declared by the deadline, the player becomes a FA. In the cause of Heuerman, he was declared but there was no room to add him (no cut/trade/etc was made prior to deadline); thus, he became a FA. He wasn't cut so no need to post a cut thread.

Got it...interesting...no one sees a problem there? Alrighty...learning something new every year...Man, so much to keep track of...I feel I need a few assistants to keep up with you guys, lol...I am falling behind when I thought I was making progress...
