Franchise Limit ***FRANCHISE LIMIT PASSED (7-5)***
Currently, there is no limit to the number of consecutive years that a team can franchise the same player. This poll is to see if we should prevent a player from being franchised by the same team in consecutive years.

If we end up allowing players to be franchised multiple times, then I will put a proposal out there that we increase the price significantly (like the NFL does) for players franchised multiple times.

This rule passes by a narrow margin. Teams can no longer franchise the same player in consecutive years.

The "JJ Watt Rule" passes and the ironic thing is I could have dead locked it at 6/6 and defeated the measure. Go figure.
Another interesting thing is the other poll to use 5 years to figure Franchise Salary would not effect Watts salary since he was getting + 20% the last two seasons. |
