New NFL Schedule - 17 regular season games

So with the new league schedule expanding to 17 games, the NFL is adding an extra week in regular season, and removing one week in Pre-Season.

So dates will need to be adjusted - so anything that dates after 3rd Preseason game, will be re-worded to 2nd preseason game.

Also, I propose we do away with the double header week, and move the playoffs back a week. So instead of playoff in weeks 14, 15 and 16, we move them to weeks 15, 16 and 17. This will still allow us to not have SACd Bowl on the last game of season.

Agreed, you know I despised double headers and squeezing in a 14 game schedule over 13 weeks, thus the week 17 championship. A 14 week regular season for 12 team FF leagues is ideal.

Gaining the extra week so that the championship isn't the final week of the NFL regular season is perfect. Don't forget this past season also added a 7th wild card team in each NFL conference, which means the competition should be strong through week 17 of the new 18 week/17 game NFL season.

In terms of moving all the dates up a week, I think we may want to discuss that. With just 3 per-season games we're going to have very little film to evaluate our players. I think making our cut deadline within 24 hours of the NFL's would be more ideal.

I have no problem with that. I actually love the idea, and don't see any reason not to leave it as is....

On the Frenzy front, I'm good with the Playoffs being weeks 15,16,17 with week 18 being an off week to celebrate the Championship :-)
And as for the Dates (deadlines) I'm good with whatever is decided. Just give me the deadline dates and I will make them work.

Sweet! Finally best of both worlds - no more double headers (SACD) and no more last week of season championship games (Frenzy). I like Mike's idea of cut deadline within 24 hours of the NFL's.
