DB Sean Taylor situation is scaring me more and more

The Sean Taylor situation is scaring me more and more.

The judge ruled he could travel to practice with the team, but the trial is set to start Sept 12th, which happens to be smack dab in the middle of the season. I am sure he will have to attend and that will mean missed time.

He also turned down a plea bargin which would have put him in jail for 3 years.

Any legal experts out there that can give any insight on if this will stick, or if like other celebrities this will just go away?

From what I've read, Florida has very STRICT laws on this. The fact that a plea still required 3 years in jail tells you something.

I think he's in deep shit if the DA has enough evidence for a case. Curious to see how it plays out.

Personally, I'm SICK Of seeing athlete's and celebreties buying there way out of jail. IF he did commit the crime, I hope he gets handed a LONG sentance.

Firstly,, the DA has said he won't fight a conitinuance until aftr the season but more importantly I'm not sure the he has the evidence to make it stick. Evidence seems light. ST's companion on the night in question was also offered a plea bargain that would have been only a couple of months of jail time if he became a prosecution witness and he turned it down.
