Default SACD Playoff Picture

Well, we have made it through all the bye weeks and there are 4 division games left for everyone. I figured I would look at the playoff picture and see where teams stand.

Pat Tillman Memorial Division

- Subzero (8-2) has a comfortable lead in the division. They could clinch this week with a win and a Pitbull loss.
- Jawbone Hill (5-5) has to win the last 4 games and have subzero lose the last 4 to win the division because Subzero ownes all of the tie breakers.
- Buffalo Pitbulls (5-5) have the best shot of upending Subzero thanks to a division win over them earlier in the year. They need to either win out and have Subzero only win 1 more or win 3 (including a win over Subzero) and have Subzero lose the rest of their games.
- Glenside Gunslingers (2-8) started planning their vacation a couple weeks ago.

The Pick: Subzero has this locked up with two easy games against the Gunslingers.

Derrick Thomas Memorial Division

- Chagrin Falls D. M. K. M. Snow Goons (8-2) are sitting pretty good and are tied for the division lead.
- Good Grief (8-2) are tied with the Goons for the division lead. They trail in the h2h and division record tie breaker behind the Goons, but that can be erased with a win over them in Week 12. If that happens it comes down to points and Grief leads in that tie break.
- Disciples of the 36 Chambers (5-5) have an distant shot at the division. They need Grief to lose out and the Goons to only get one win (over Grief). This seems a little unlikely, but it could happen. :holdsbreath:
- Bloomington Eco Warriors (1-9) have already ordered a uniform with Reggie Bush's name on it.

The Pick: This division will be decided in week 12 when Goons and Grief go head to head. I have to give the slight edge to Grief because they are averaging more points, but this is really a toss up. The loser will most likely be the wild card team

Reggie White Memorial Division

- Valencia Vibe (6-4) leads this division and hold all the tie breakers over the rest of the division.
- Falcon Floyds (5-5) are only 1 game back, but because of tie breaksers they need to jump over the Vibe not just pull even.
- Bay Area Bloodsuckers (4-6) are still alive. If they can win 3 (including a win over the Vibe) and Vibe loses 3 to tie it up they can sneak in (assuming that the Floyds lose 2 games too). Ok now that I typed that out, the Bloodsuckers have very little chance since it depends on the Mountain Lions winning 3 games - not something I would want to bet on.
- Maplewood Mountain Lions (3-7) are technically still alive but the stars would have to align.

The Pick: This division is still up for grabs so anyone could emerge. I say it is a toss up between the Vibe and Floyds and I have to give the edge to the Vibe because of tie breakers.

Nice breakdown, Skippy.
I'd like to see the calculation for how ML are still alive in Reggie White division...that'd be interesting to see.

Here is one scenario that would get ML in.

ML wins all 4 remaining (2 vs Valencia, 1 vs Burt, 1 vs Flax)
Valencia loses all 4 remaining (2 vs ML, 1 vs Burt, 1 vs Flax)
Burt and Flax split their two h2h games.

This would leave everyone with the following records:
ML (7-7,5-1)
Burt (7-7,2-4)
Flax (6-8,3-3)
Valencia (6-8,2-4)

ML would get in thanks to the tie breakers.

This is just how I had it planned out. You are all right where I wanted you. I predict, in 4 short weeks I will be puffing on a cigar and quoting the incomprable Hannibal Smith and saying "I love it when a plan comes together."

SACD Playoff Picture

The picture cleared up a lot this week.

Currently In
#*Chagrin Falls D. M. K. M. Snow Goon (9-2)
#Good Grief (9-2)
#*Subzero (9-2)
*Valencia Vibe (7-4)

Outside lookin In
Falcon Floyds (5-6) - needs to win the last 3 and have Vibe lose the last 3 to win the division. Vibe ownes the tie breaker
Bay Area Bloodsuckers (5-6) - very slim chance (would lose to both the Floyds or Vibe in tie breaks)

Staying Out

Jawbone Hill (6-5) - can't win the division or the wildcard

Disciples of the 36 Chambers (5-6)
Buffalo Pitbulls (5-6)
Maplewood Mountain Lions (3-8)
Glenside Gunslingers (2-9)
Bloomington Eco Warriors (1-10)

Huge game this week between the Goons and Grief. Winner will probably get the division and the loser will probably get the wildcard. Rami won the first matchup, but skippy has been looking strong.

The only spot up for grabs in the playoffs is the Reggie White Memorial Division.

# - in the playoffs
* - division leader

I would just like to congratulate the 4 playoff teams. Best of luck to all of you, sorry I missed the boat and couldn't join you this year.

I now find myself in the unfamiliar position of figuring out how to play the last 3 weeks! I COULD tank it, and go for the higher pick, but the sport in me says play like I always would, and go for the win each week, so I will (but I'll cross my fingers and hope I lose ).

Anyhow, Brett's the underdog, and my closest bud in the group, so even though he's in a different division, I'm totally pulling for him. Go get em Brett!

Thanks Mike...
I don't know how I keep plugging along. Thank God my division is down this year. Well, I put my hopes and dreams in the hands of McNabb and now I have to limp to the playoffs. Maybe I can make a move before tomorrow that will help me this year without mortgaging my future.
Good luck to all the rest of the way.
Brett
