I think somewhere along the way I lost a year on Byron Leftwich. In 2004 he was signed for 3 years. However, on the 2005 tracker he was showing with 1 year left and now he is not on my roster at all.

I admit I did not notice this in 2005 (I had little access to the tracker and was using my own excel spreadsheet) but I think he should be on the Freedom in 2006 (with one year at 603).

I just noticed this with downloading the app today, but it appears the years weren't reduced for my active roster players. My DS players are all right, but the active roster players each need one year removed from each of their respective contracts. The salaries are all correct however.

The Frenzy Roster App is now current through TODAY (6/21/06).

All roster moves through today (including the draft) are reflected. Also fixed some of the color schemes to make it easier on the eyes.

If you notice any errors please point em out.

And Jake, can you take over on a regular basis from here? If so, when you mark the players on the Tracking Tab, x out the MFL column for any you have received waiver emails on. I believe MFL is 100% current at the moment, and it's been pretty easy for me thus far to reflect the moves within hours of their auctions closing in MFL (much easier than the complete updates we had to do with MFL everytime there was a transaction). Anyhow, I'll keep MFL as current as I am able, can you keep the app up?

Yeah, I've got it covered. I had actually been working away at the roster app and didn't notice your post here for some reason. So my work is original all the way back to the start of the draft - can you cross-check me with your app Mike?

Jake... the only error I see on my page, is that you didn't edit out the Taxi Squad salary & years (presumably when Bulger was still on). Without that change, it appears I'm over the cap by $500+ cbs... when in reality, I'm just under by $25cbs. Otherwise, everything's set. Thanks!

Actually, I made a ton of fomula and format corrections in the app version I had posted, it's only missing a few moves, and I still have it on my laptop. I'll get it current and update it.

For future use Jake, use the one I upload later tonight, since I made so many corrections, formula, and format changes on the May 1 version that I don't even want to think about starting over, even to cross check what you had!

I have already have updated and uploaded it (I was only missing 4 transactions).

Please download the copy I just put up and work off of that from here on out.

Note, there is a tab called "Masterlist" which is used to make sure the MFL site and the roster app are in sync. When you add players, 1st add them to the Masterlist, then the team. Finally, if you've received the Transaction email from MFL then mark x in the "MFL" column to turn the text red (showing it is in sync). Leave that column blank if you haven't reecived an email from MNFL, that's my indication that I might have missed a move.

All transactions get entered on the Masterlist, promotions, demotions, adds, cuts, trades etc.

Any questions, ask me and thanks for helping out from here on out!

FYI, I've updated the Roster App through 7/15/06. I noted a few discrepencies with the MFL website, and found some formual errors on some of the cap hits for the Swords and Dodgers. The app and the MFL are now pretty much in sync (with the lone exception being rounding differences that make some team off 1 or 2 cb's when compared between the App and the MFL site (the app is the correct number).

Jake, I'm not sure when you're gonna start keeping the app up, but if you plan to make any future changes, please always download a fresh copy if I post an update, because often I find and fix errors and formulas that I previously missed (like todays).

The Frenzy Roster App has been updated through July 25th.

NOTE: I made MAJOR changes throughout to the player name formats and created a new tab to sort players alphabetically by last name. This was done to make it easier to reconcile salaries and contract years with MFL, since at the moment, MFL only allows me to edit/enter salaries and contracts by last name alphabetically (supposedly this will be upgraded eventually, but who knows when that will be).

Anyhow, on all pages, you'll now see players listed by First Name in one column, and Last Name in another. For most this won't make any difference, however to Jake and Frank who also edit these apps, please take note to download my most recent version (which is current as of today) and make sure you seperate first and last names into the fields I've indicated from here on out.

I just downloaded the app and notice the macros were missing. I'm guessing you have macros turned off in Excel. They need to be ON! To check your status, once in Excel, go to Tools|Macros|Security and set it to Medium or Low. Any higher setting will disable the Macros, and once you save the app delete them.

Anyhow, I recreated the Macros. Also changed up the team name and whatnot for The Liquid Swords tranistion into the Amish Rake Fighters.

Please download the version I've put up and work off of it for future reference. And again, check your macro settings! I need the macros on for some of the sorts I have setup.

No, my macro settings are right. I edited the app this time on my PC, using OpenOffice Calc. That might be the problem for some reason. I've never noticed a problem in the conversion before, but I'll try to track it down. Not a big deal either way - I have Excel on my Mac, so I'll edit the app there from now on. What's up with the MFL notice with the demotion of Brandon Williams by the Toxic Waste? I can't find any record of Brandon Williams on the Waste's team.

Brandon Williams was drafted by Jersey, but when I setup the site he wasn't in the player database. I found him and Mike Bell this morning, so added them to the draft and placed them on the TS on MFL.

Right now, I have all the draftees on the TS on MFL. I'll clean it up after declaration day, but keepiong them their for now makes the active rsoter cap info valid.

In an effort to "cross my T's and dot my I's" can Ben Roethlisberger's salary be verified? I have him down at 451, having earned a 100 cb bonus in 2004. The changes made to the rookie bonus scale weren't retrocactive, were they, and that bonus should still apply, right?

His rookie salary was 290 for 2003. 290 x 1.1 + 100 = 419 for 2005 x 1.1 = 461 for 2006.
