WOW!!!

6650 for LT!!!

Are you guys expecting another record breaking year from LT?

At his price right now I can rationalize it a bit, but if he breaks 7k....

Also 3k for Julius Jones.... someone in a for sure RBBC with Shuan Alexander, Mo Morris, and TJ Duckett?

And I get flack for calling Jamal Lewis a steal at 3500?

LT - 6650
Portis - 5000
Lewis - 3500
J. Jones - 3000

Crazy.

Yes you do. Alexander is certain to be released after June 1, so he's out of the picture. If you think Duckett is going to get as many carries as Barber did in Dallas, you're clueless and I'd be willing to bet that even if you add in Morris' carries as well, they still won't add up to the carries Barber stole. Combine that with the probability that unlike Dallas, Seattle will actually utilize JJ's pass catching ability out of the backfield and I think he'll be well worth the 3000 that that gunky Needles matched on the guy I wanted.

As far as LT goes, you're acting like the price paid for top performers always reflects the same point per dollar spent on players across the board. That's never the case. Just because his price is double Jamal's doesn't mean we think he's going to score twice as much. Is the potential there to do just that? You bet, but I'm certainly not banking on it. Of course it doesn't hurt that we've got 12K in cap space that's going to go to waste if we don't bid guys up enough to make them cost prohibitive to their current owners.

I know he's not going to score twice as much... so why spend twice as much?

In the end the bidding on LT is good for me, especially if Portis is matched. Either Burt retains LT and right now has 400 less than last year to work with or he lets LT go and has no one near his ability to replace him.

I'm just enjoying watching LT get bid up like crazy!!

It's all relative. If you have mega cap space because you have a lot of value on your squad, you can afford to overpay for a player of need. I think prety much all of the players out there are overpriced.....some of them WAY overpriced (1/3 of your cap for one player? holy sheet)!! Everyone thought I was nuts last year to pay 70% salary cap to 4 players, but since they all stayed healthy and played to the level I needed them to, I won the championship. Getting lucky with a couple 100cb players helps too. But like I said, it's all relative to the sit-chee-a-shun.....

Just like learning to ride a bike with the bullies on the block helping you out...you'll get lots of scrapes and bruises, but you'll learn along the way....

Now what were you looking to get help with?

This is like asking an alligator to help you across the river...

Based on the poor quality and suckitudeness of my team, would it make more sense to avoid free agents this year and just draft well to build low price value? I mean I am not going to challenge for the championship this year anyways. So, if I continued to drive prices up but didnt really win anyone could that actually work out better for me?

The real value in this league is smart drafting with good price value and then a few HIGH priced guys to put you over the top. Right?

Cool. I do want a few players if I can get them for the right price, but I am not going to go crazy.

I have Housh ranked above CJ... It seems I must be the only one.

Here's some advice:

Bid up players that would put you in cap hell even if you win just a fraction of them. Then start dumping the young talent to make room, take a few cap hits on infractions, and voila...you can challenge for a championship this year! Who cares about building for the future...just ask Brian...it doesn't work.

Hmmm...maybe I shoud heed my own advice or maybe just lay off the
